About Me

Hayley Dixon
Born in Barnsley, Yorkshire, Hayley first gained contemporary dance experience at 18, following her musical theatre training from the young age of 5yrs. Starting out at Northern School of Contemporary Dance she continued her studies for a HND at Scottish School of Contemporary Dance. After graduation she joined Transitions Dance Company where she was fortunate to work with internationally renowned choreographers; Allison Brown of Forsythe Company, Miguel Pirera, London based duo Lost dog and Rosemary Butcher. Working in tandem with one of contemporary dance's finest, Valerie Preston Dunlop, reworking Laban's original dance peices for tour, Hayley was overwhelmed by being cast for the ‘Rosetten’ solo, amongst other pieces. Since leaving Transitions, Hayley first worked with Qdos Dance Theatre, of Yorkshire, from here she joins Smallpetitklein Dance Company as a 'Company Dancer' in 2008, where she remains and still flourishes. Hayley is currently performing in the 5* programme 'Falling Man', where it is has been seen in New York, Edinburgh Fringe Festival and other dates throughout the last year.
